Do you know what’s great about the internet? It’s GLOBAL! That means that virtually everyone on the planet has access to the internet, even if that access is intermittent. What does that mean for you? An lead pool that won’t get shallow! To really be successful as a Beachbody coach and grow your business I think the biggest key is consistency and taking action.  I like to think of it as a marathon and not a sprint.  If you burst out of the gate at a marathon and start by sprinting you are going to lose steam.  Same goes with building a Beachbody business; you can start out strong and quickly burn yourself out.  Think about taking consistent action and what your goals are for a year, two years and even 5 or more years down the line.  To really be successful in network marketing you have to build relationships, take consistent action and become a leader.  Those things do not happen overnight.  Here are some things that are great ways to build your business.  So if you are just starting out as a coach or are looking to become a coach here are just a few of the ways to promote and grow your Beachbody business.

This is a great list if you are struggling with your Beachbody business or if you are hesitating on becoming a coach.  It shows you there are tons of ways to promote the business so if you are willing to take action you can succeed.  Do you have any other ideas to add to the list?  Feel free to let me know and I will try and add it to the list.

1. Create a blog. There are several ways you can approach this but I highly suggest you do a blog.  You can do a blog that brands you or create a fitness based blog.   You could even do a blog following your fitness journey.  No clue where to start or you think you don’t have the design skills?  There are tons of resources out there to help you get started.   One great resource is called Blogging for beginners and it is a great way to get you started.  Another resource if you need your blog designed is called the Empowered Blogs.  They are very affordable turnkey blogs that are designed to get you traffic and get you started; all you need is to start adding your content.

2. Use Social Media to build relationships.   The big social media sites like, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are a great way to connect with people.  You can find and connect with people interested in you and what you have to offer.  Notice I said use social media to build relationships.  Do not spam people or lead with the Beachbody opportunity or products.  It is a quick way to lose friends and turn people off.  If someone leads with their opportunity on a social site I quickly befriend them.  Take time and get to know people and build relationships.   If you want a great free resource that takes you step by step through building your social media successfully check out the Social Media Manifesto.  It is packed with great information.

3. Create a Facebook Page/Group. Create a Facebook page or group promoting yourself.  This is a great way to communicate with people who are interested in Beachbody or your Coaching but keeping your business page separate from your personal Facebook page.

4. Create a Hub Page/Squidoo about a Beachbody or fitness. Hub Pages or Squidoo are  ways you can write about Beachbody to help people find you and the Beachbody Products.  www.hubpages.com and www.squidoo.com are both free and easy to use.  Squidoo is a little stricter about their content and does not like people to write about weight loss so you need to be a more alert about what content you are creating on this site.

5. Start a Fit Club.  Some of the most successful coaches out there are getting lots of retail sales and gaining coaches through fit clubs.   You could do it at your home or a local school gym in your area if you can find one that will allow you to use it.

6. Do a Home Party.  Invite friends, family and coworkers over and show them the Beachbody workouts, and nutritional items you have.  Make them some Shakeology or recovery drink and do a sample workout.

7. Market the opportunity to personal trainers.  Beachbody is a great way for personal trainers to have more to offer their customers and a great way to supplement their income.  Have personal trainers check out this website-www.personaltrainerbenefits.com.

8. Market the opportunity to Real Estate Agents.  Real Estate is an occupation that has been hard hit by the down economy.  Real Estate agents are already good with sales and marketing and often have a large network.  Beachbody is a great way for Real Estate agents to supplement or replace their lost income.

9. Market the opportunity to Teachers.  Teachers are often looking for things to do in the summer and it is a great time for them to start Beachbody and get it going.  Then when they return to teaching in the fall they can do Beachbody part time and make a second income.

10. Start a challenge using Beachbody products with friends, family or coworkers. Get a group of people together and do a challenge using Beachbody products.    It could be a workout challenge, weight loss challenge, and eating challenge and so on.

11. Present Beachbody products to police and fire departments.  This is a great group to market to because they need to stay in shape for their jobs and Beachbody products are a great way to do that.

12. Present Beachbody to people in the military looking to stay in shape.  If you know someone in the military or returning from service who wants to stay in shape Beachbody may be the thing to help them out.

13. Present Beachbody to athletes who are training.  Some of Beachbody’s more intense programs such as Insanity or One on One are perfect for people who are training for endurance in sports or marathons.

14. Present Beachbody workouts and supplements to people at Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig so they have a workout program to go along with their eating program.  This is a great group to market to because their programs are mostly about changing people’s eating.  Finding them the right Beachbody workout could be a wonderful compliment to their Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig program.

15. Start a health challenge with people at a large corporation.  Many large corporations offer health incentives to their employees with their medical insurance.   You could check with HR of the company to see if the employees would get any benefits or discounts on their health insurance for doing a Beachbody workout a certain number of days per week.  Then start a workout challenge or a corporate program using Beachbody products.

16. Promote to brides.  Brides always want to look good and in shape for their wedding day.  You could try and work with wedding planners or companies to get your name out there as someone who will help brides get in shape.

17. Promote to new moms.  New moms are a great way to promote Beachbody because most of them are looking for ways to lose the baby weight.  Beachbody is an easy solution because they can still be at home with the new baby and working out.

18. Promote Shakeology at natural grocery stores with their permission. There was a coach who did this at Whole foods with great success.  She brought Shakeology samples into the store and asked if she could do a booth on a Saturday outside the store.   They gladly said yes and she set up her table.  She gave out samples in dixie cups.  This was a very successful event for her.

19. Hand out Shakeology samples/ P90X recovery at small races in your area.  There are tons of races all year long.  Some you need permission to do but some you can be at the end just handing out samples.

20. Go to the Library and put your business cards in health and fitness books.  This is a quick and easy thing to do and you are targeting people who are looking for what you have to offer.

21. Do a booth at local expos.  There are small and large expo’s happing all the time.  Some require a lot of money and some are more affordable.  You could go in with some local coaches if you wanted to do a larger event but can’t afford to do it on your own.

22. Have a garage sale and sell Beachbody products at the same time.  If you are doing a summer garage sale why not also have a table set up with Beachbody products and be handing out samples of Shakeology or Recovery drink to the people who come through.

23. Do weekly newsletters for your customers with helpful tips. Keep in touch with your customers and build relationships with them.  Do a newsletter with helpful tips and recipes.  This way you are in front of them every week and they get to know and trust you.

24. Send out letters or postcards to your free customers.  Beachbody allows you to market to your free customers.  Find out what program they are doing and send them a follow up letter asking how they are doing and how you can help them.

25. Wear Beachbody logo clothes out and around.  Buy shirt, caps, jackets and logo merchandise from the Beachbody back office and wear it around.  You will find you get people asking about it and it becomes a good conversation starter.

26. Be a product of the product. This one is imperative.  You want to definitely use Beachbody products yourself.  It is hard to sell the products if you are not using them.  It also becomes an easy sale when you have had dramatic results from Beachbody and people approach you asking what you have done.

27. Hand out business cards, product samples and Beachbody information when you can.  If you are out and about and the Beachbody topic comes up be sure to have business cards, samples and Beachbody information you can give out.

28. Get window stickers for your car with your website and contact information.  This is fairly reasonable to have done and you get a lot of visibility when you have your business information on your vehicle.

29. Advertise the beachbody opportunity on backpage.com business listings-(not job listings).

www.backpage.com has a section for business listings.  Make sure not to put the Beachbody opportunity in the job listings because it will be taken down, double check you put the ad in the business listings.

30. Start a Meetup group.  Start a group on Meetup.com and get together with people interested in doing the Beachbody workouts.

31. Educate yourself by reading all you can about Network Marketing, personal development, social media or anything related to this business.  The more educated you are the more you are going to be able to grow not only as a person but grow your business.  My two favorite books I have recently read are Crush it by Gary Vaynerchuck and Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill.  I will keep adding more to this list I like and suggest.

32. Join an unbiased training group to help you build your business and skills.  Join a group that helps develop your skills as a network marketer and offers training on marketing, prospecting and success.  There are a ton out there so look around, my personal favorite is My Lead System Pro.

33. Read Magnetic Sponsoring and Building on a Budget. Mike Dillard is a marketing genius and these two things I recommend hands down.  I had many Ah-Ha moments when I read them.  I think these two books have completely transformed the way I do business and helped me tremendously.  Building on a Budget talks about how to easily build your business even if you don’t have a lot of money to do it and Magnetic Sponsoring talks about how to attract people to you instead of you chasing them.

34. Make videos about your Beachbody journey and put them on YouTube and Viddler.  Make videos on your Beachbody experience and put them on the big Video sites.  It is a good way for people to find you and videos are a great way for people to see what you are about.

You Do Not Have to Be Perfect To be a Beachbody Coach

I have seen a lot of people hesitate and be afraid to become a Beachbody Coach because they think their body is not good enough.  Being the perfect shape and size is not what being a Beachbody Coach is all about.  You do not need to be at your ideal weight or size to do this, in fact you probably will be more successful if you are not at your ideal weight yet.  First it will hold you accountable to start living a healthier life.  Second it will allow people to see your transformation and people will ask what you have done.  It leads to very easy selling when people feel like you are not selling to them you are just sharing what you have done.  That opens to the doors to talking about Beachbody products and being a Beachbody Coach.

This business is all about making healthier lifestyle choices and setting a good example for your family,  friends, and co-workers.

Every Beachbody Coach is different and all of us come in different shapes and sizes.  We have Beachbody Coaches that are Personal Trainers, Nurses, Doctors, Engineers, Professors and just about every walk of life you can imagine.   We are all people who have just found a spark of passion for Beachbody and fitness and want to share it with others.  We want to help other people find their spark for fitness passion.

A Beachbody Coach has committed to changing their lifestyle to live healthier and help others do the same.  I have seen some people not want to coach because they see themselves as not being perfect, having the right look or being the right size.

Don’t be a person that lets this hold you back.  Some of the most successful coaches I have seen were people who were less than their ideal body weight when they started.  When their lives and bodies changed from the programs people come out of the woodwork wanting to know how they did it and what programs they have used.  You can be a motivation and example to a lot of people when you start living a healthy life.

The great thing about being a Beachbody Coach is we have a very strong community and support system.  We are all here to help each other out and keep each other motivated, encouraged and accountable.

I have never changed my life in so many ways until I became a coach.  I now feel great both physically and mentally.  I am more dedicated, determined and disciplined.  I have more energy to be a great Mom and I sleep better than I have ever slept.   The added bonuses are I am getting paid to do this even though I would be doing this anyway and I have lots all the weight I gained from being pregnant plus some.
